About the Competition
The Designed for Business competition is designed for final year and graduate creative student studying Interior Design, Product Design, Interior Decoration, Fashion, or Art & Design. Judges and sponsors presented the overall winner with a cash prize of £30,000; five category winners with £1,000 each and gave university recognition at the awards ceremony with the Visionary Tutor Award at a ceremony held at the House of Commons in London.
Dr Vanessa Brady OBE, says “We are delighted to launch this competition for the benefit of Universities and students with the support of our industry partners. In recognition of the time, research and financial cost invested in esteemed university education, the outcome of this competition is aimed at shining a spotlight on emerging design talent while increasing opportunities and support for graduates in their journey to gain employment as a working design professional”.
